RB-Focus Balinor Pro Smart PowerBox V3.0

The new Balinor Pro™ Smart PowerBox V3.0 is now available on the market. An intelligent control system for your astronomical equipment. This new gadget allows us to connect up to 5 devices and 2 heating bands, and now in its new and improved pro version it integrates an industrial grade USB3.0 Hub that allows connecting up to 6 devices and offers transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps. With all the necessary sensors included, it allows real-time monitoring of atmospheric conditions such as temperature, humidity and dew point and also important data such as equipment consumption and the voltage that is being supplied by the power source, whether it is a battery or a 220VAC to 12VDC transformer.

It is compatible with observatory control programs and allows the equipment to be switched on and off, as well as to configure heating bands or fans. It is controllable from any software that supports ASCOM Switch Box, such as NINA, Voyager or APT, etc. Both on the OLED screen and in the aforementioned programs, the device's OSD can be seen, displaying in real time all the data regarding the state of the environment and the power supply.

Automatic band controller, through the use of temperature and humidity sensors the device has the necessary data to calculate the dew point in this way it can be programmed in the control software to turn on the heating bands only when they are really necessary and thus avoid keeping them consuming electricity and generating unwanted currents in the OTA.

Small, compact and lightweight. We know what it means to fit more gear into our astrophotography rig. Thinking about whether it will be too big or too heavy or even if we will have the space to fit it. That's why we've designed the new PowerBox to weigh just 150g and be quite small measuring just 13cm x 9cm x 3.3cm.
